Future Perfect Tense, gelecekte tamamlanacak bir eylemi ya da olayı anlatmak için kullanılır.
Örneğin:
The parade will have ended by the time Chester gets out of bed. At eight o’clock I will have left.
Bu cümlede, Future Perfect Tense, şimdi ile gelecekteki bir zaman aralığında tamamlanacak bir eylemden bahsetmektir.
İkinci örneğimizi birlikte inceleyelim:
Arkadaşınız Özlem bir geziye katılıyor ve bu süre içerisinde -birkaç günlüğüne- sizden kedisiyle ilgilenmenizi istiyor ve bu öğlen onu ziyaret etmenizi bekliyor. (Size kedinin mamasını nasıl hazırlayacağınızı gösterecek.) Ama bu öğleden sonra çok meşgulsünüz, bu yüzden Özlem’e bu gece gelip gelemeyeceğinizi sorarsınız. Bu durumda Özlem size şu cevabı verecektir:
“No, that won’t work! At eight o’clock I will have left already,” she says.
Future Perfect Tense, bize burada ne anlatıyor? Özlem, belirli bir zaman aralığında evinden ayrılmış olacak (eight o’clock tonight). Bir kedi bakıcısı bulmak için son dakikaya kadar beklememeliydi!
Future Perfect formülü:
Future Perfect Tense’in formülü oldukça basittir: will have + [past participle].
Cümlenizin çoğul ya da tekil olmasını önemli değildir. Her ikisinde de bu formülü kullanabilirsiniz.
When to Use the Future Perfect Tense – Ne zaman Future Perfect Tense kullanırız?
Bazen Future Perfect Tense ile Simple Future Tense’i dönüşümlü olarak ya da birbirinin yerine kullanabilirsiniz.
Aşağıdaki iki cümlede, anlamda gerçek bir fark yoktur, çünkü “before” olayların sırasını netleştirir:
Linda will leave before you get there.
Linda will have left before you get there.
At eight o’clock Linda will leave. (This means that Linda will wait until 8 o’clock to leave.)
At eight o’clock Linda will have left. (This means Linda will leave before 8 o’clock.)
When Not to Use the Future Perfect Tense – Future Perfect Tense’i ne zaman kullanamayız?
Future Perfect Tense, sadece gelecekte belirli bir noktadan önce tamamlanacak eylemler içindir.
Başka bir deyişle, konuştuğunuz eylemin bir bitiş tarihi olmalıdır.
Eğer belirgin bir tarihten söz etmiyorsanız, Future Perfect Tense yerine Simple Future Tense’i kullanabilirsiniz.
Linda will leave.
Linda will have left.
Gidiş tarihi çok spesifik olabilir (saat sekizde) veya belirsiz olabilir (gelecek hafta).
How to make the Future Perfect Negative
Future Perfect Tense’i kullanarak olumsuz bir cümle yapmak çok kolaydır. Tek yapmanız gereken “will” ile “have” arasına “not” eklemek!
Örneğin:
We will not have eaten breakfast before we get to the airport tomorrow morning.
They will not have finished decorating the float before the parade.
Ya da, “will not”ı “won’t” olarak da kullanabilirsiniz.
Örneğin:
They won’t have finished decorating the float before the parade.
How to Ask a Question
Future Perfect Tense ile soru sormak isterseniz şu formülü kullanmanız gerekir: will + [subject] + have + [past participle]:
Örneğin:
Will you have eaten lunch already when we arrive?
Will they have finished decorating the float before the parade?
Prepositional Phrases that Often Go With the Future Perfect:
By this time next week, Linda will have left for her trip. Three days from now, we will have finished our project. At midnight, the party will have ended. Will you have eaten already? Chester will not have arrived by the time the parade is over. When I travel to France, I will have been to ten countries. My sister will have cleaned the bathroom before the party. As soon as someone buys this chair, I will have sold all the furniture I wanted to get rid of.
